Hope of the Sun

There shall exist in the Principality of the Sun an award, Known as the Order of the Hope of the Sun, which may be given by the Princess to those persons who demonstrate and understanding of life in these Current Middle Ages, know and use the appropriate courtesies consistently, and demonstrate abilities in the Arts to the best of their ability and knowledge. The holders of the award shall be styled as Companions of the Hope of the Sun and shall be entitled to place the initials C.H.S. after their names. The insignia of the order shall consist of a medallion, pendant from a green ribbon, bearing, subject to approval by the SCA College of Arms: Upon a sun, a bend sinister charged with a sprig of laurel. Recipients of the award shall have attained no more than 16 years of age, and shall have been active in the Society for Creative Anachronism for at least one year.
